Hong Kong Events Calendar 2027

2027 begins on 1 January 2027. Every date on this page is published by the body that runs the event, and it is presented as the year ahead rather than as events already under way. Two months are far enough along to have their own pages. January opens with New Year's Day racing and closes with the Lunar New Year fairs opening on 31 January; February is shaped entirely by Chinese New Year, which falls on 6–9 February 2027. March to December are not listed yet: a month is added when its dates are confirmed and sourced, so a month that is not linked here has nothing to show you rather than an empty list. If you are planning a Peak visit around one of these dates, the month pages say which events are on the hill and which need a trip of their own.

March to December 2027

Nothing is dated for March to December 2027 yet. The general holidays for the whole year are below, because those are published in full.

Hong Kong general holidays in 2027

Seventeen general holidays are gazetted for 2027. Every Sunday is also a general holiday.

Date Day Holiday
1 January Friday New Year's Day
6 February Saturday Lunar New Year's Day
8 February Monday The third day of Lunar New Year
9 February Tuesday The fourth day of Lunar New Year
26 March Friday Good Friday
27 March Saturday The day following Good Friday
29 March Monday Easter Monday
5 April Monday Ching Ming Festival
1 May Saturday Labour Day
13 May Thursday The Birthday of the Buddha
9 June Wednesday Tuen Ng Festival
1 July Thursday HKSAR Establishment Day
16 September Thursday The day following the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival
1 October Friday National Day
8 October Friday Chung Yeung Festival
25 December Saturday Christmas Day
27 December Monday The first weekday after Christmas Day

Lunar New Year's Day falls on Saturday 6 February 2027. Because the second day of the new year falls on a Sunday, the fourth day — Tuesday 9 February — is the gazetted general holiday in its place, and Monday 8 February is the third day.

No general holiday falls in August 2027, and none falls in November 2027. That is an enumeration of the seventeen dates above, not a gap in the list.

FOOD AND DINING

While often visited for the view the visitor should not forget that The Peak encompasses a wide range of dining options, from the casual to the sophisticated.  Within The Peak area are examples of many of Hong Kong's most authentic and distinctive styles, as well as international choices to fit all palates and budgets.
