Victoria Peak Gardens Are Just 10 Minutes From The Peak

If you are planning to visit the famous viewing platform on the roof of Peak Towers on Mount Victoria in Hong Kong then why not make a day of it and walk down to Victoria Peak Gardens afterward where you will find a relaxing public park that, after being renovated in 2010, now has lovely Victorian-style pagodas and wooden picnic tables where you can enjoy some relaxing family time outdoors.

At the peak gardens and former Mountain Lodge site, there are also lots of paved pathways and walks to explore and even a small creek. In comparison to the hugely popular Victoria Peak, the peak gardens are relatively unknown and so can offer a welcome break from the endless touristy crowds you'll find when visiting the peak.

You can get to Victoria Peak Gardens by walking or hiking up Mount Austin Road, catching the 15B bus, jumping in a public taxi or by getting the Peak Tram, the steepest funicular railway in the world which is over 100 years old and a great experience in its own right. The Peak Tram would take you to the peak and then, go get to the peak gardens, would be a further 10-minute walk.
