Victoria Peak Gardens Is One Of Hong Kong’s Wonderful Parks

At the top of Mount Austin Road in Hong Kong, you will find the site of the former Governor of Hong Kong's summer house, Mountain Lodge. Although the summer house was demolished back in the 1940s, this site offers many wonderful things to see and explore if you would like to enjoy a day out in Hong Kong.

Near the former Mountain Lodge site, you can also find Victoria Peak Gardens, which as well as having various well manicured and interconnected lawns that are great to relax on with friends and family, the site also features lots of walks and pathways you can explore.

If you like hiking then a couple walks to note might include the Governor's Walk, which is a 30-minute walk around the peak gardens that will allow you to enjoy the wonderful views and a large mixture of fauna and flora around the peak gardens. There is also the Morning Trail, which is a 2,800m long paved trail around the site of Mount Victoria. Hiking and enjoying the outdoors is, not unsurprisingly, a very popular past time in Hong Kong and Victoria Peak Gardens is a wonderful place to do that in this busy, over-populated city.
