Mount Austin Road Leading to the Playground and Victoria Peak

This is another photo of Mount Austin Road, which leads to Victoria Peak, from just outside the Tram Terminus. The roads to the left and right of this photo are Harlech Road and Lugard Road, which form what is known as the circular walk around the peak. To get to the peak you would need to walk up Mount Austin Road, which is in the middle of the three roads in the photo.

While the views as you walk up to the peak are amazing, especially on a clear day, the road does get fairly steep so you need to be fit and active if you are going to hike up to the peak via Mount Austin Road. Provided that you are able-bodied, Mount Austin Road is a great alternative route to get to the peak and Victoria Garden.

You can also stop off for a rest and to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of Mount Austin Road Playground if you head up to Victoria Peak via Mount Austin Road. The playground is a very well kept park that also has a play park for the kids and is popular with families for picnics when the weather is good. Its red brick buildings, winding paths and interesting fauna and flora make it a wonderful place to stop for a while on the way to the peak.
